Introduction
Safeguarding and Child Protection are the most important part of everyone's job at Lancasterian Primary School.
We ask everyone who works with our pupils to follow the guidelines set out within the schools Safeguarding and Child protection policies, whether you are a teacher, member of support staff, visitor or volunteer, we ask that you adhere to the policies and procedures while you are at our school.
Keeping our children safe
The school operates a policy restricting unsupervised access to our pupils by those that have not been correctly vetted.
All adults who work regularly with our pupils must undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS), which must be completed before the commencement of working with our pupils.
All visitors to the school must sign in at the office and wear a visitors badge at all times. Any unidentified adult in the school will be challenged.
Staff:
If you have concerns about a child, please use CPOMS, our online monitoring and safeguarding system for Child protection. If you do not have access to CPOMS please complete a cause for concern form which can be downloaded here. Alternatively this can also be collected from Mrs Kamelia Johnson Pastoral Care Manager/Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or the main school office.
All concerns should be reported as soon as possible (within one working day). In the absence of the DSL please see Paul Murphy - Head Teacher/Deputy Safeguarding Lead.
Parents:
If you have concerns about a child or family at our school that may impact their wellbeing and/or safety, please use our designated email address heretolisten@lancs-pri.haringey.sch.uk or see Mrs Kamelia Johnson - Pastoral Care Manager/Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
The email address will be checked daily and you will receive a confirmation of receipt of your email within 48 hours.
We regularly survey our children to check how safe they feel safe at school and consistently see that the majority respond positively.
Lancasterian Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
