Introduction
Safeguarding and Child Protection are the most important part of everyone's job at Lancasterian Primary School.
We expect everyone who works with our pupils to follow the guidelines set out within the schools Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy, whether they are a teacher, member of support staff, visitor or volunteer.
Keeping our children safe
The school operates a policy restricting unsupervised access to our pupils by those that have not been correctly vetted.
All adults who work regularly with our pupils must undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS), which must be completed before the commencement of working with our pupils.
All visitors to the school must sign in at the office and wear a visitors badge at all times. Any unidentified adult in the school will be challenged.

Useful Contact Information
Staff:
If you have concerns about a child or receive a disclosure, you should use CPOMS, our child protection online monitoring system to report your concern. If you do not have access to CPOMS please complete a cause for concern form which can be collected from Gemma Horgan Pastoral Care Manager/Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), the main school office or downloaded here.
All concerns should be reported as soon as possible (at least within one working day) or immediately in the event of a disclosure. In the absence of the DSL please see one of the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads named above.
Parents and Visitors:
If you have concerns about the safety or the welfare of a child family at our school please see Gemma Horgan - Pastoral Care Manager/Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or use our designated email address heretolisten@lancs-pri.haringey.sch.uk to confidentially report your concern. The email address will be checked daily, and you will receive a confirmation of receipt of your email within 48 hours.
We regularly survey our children to check how safe they feel safe at school and consistently see that the vast majority respond very positively.
Lancasterian Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, governors, volunteers and visitors to the school to share this commitment.
